Welcome.
Listening is at the heart of spirituality. When you sit with me, it is my privilege to bear witness to your story. It as my role to listen to both your words and your heart and how your story fits within the larger Story.
Come. Sit. Share. Discover.

Spiritual Direction ~ Spiritual Companioning ~ Soul Care
What it Is
The Theoretical
What is spiritual companioning? I claim the title “companion” rather than “director” because I am not here to lead a seeker on a particular path. Instead, I am safe, grounded presence as you practice listening to the heart and guidance and wisdom of your self and the divine. My role is to listen with you and to ask deepening questions. A seeker enters into spiritual direction to explore or discern some aspect of their relationship with the divine. The role of a spiritual companion is, to paraphrase Sharon Reed, “to listen someone into their own wisdom.”
The Practical
Companioning is rest for the soul. It invites intentionality, which leads to greater sense of clarity and spiritual encouragement. When you find yourself occupied with anxiety or anger and feel a need to act, sometimes the best thing is to pause. Action and contemplation are two side of the same coin. One supports and informs the other. A practice of slowing down and listening, like in spiritual companionship, offers a source of grounding and strength needed to participate more fully in those things you care about most deeply.
